kanja records is sincerely honored to present its sixth vinyl release, based on a concept called sunday mornings. with this series of releases we will focus on that warm up, early morning, after party gems and slowly fading away from peak time music. our philosophy behind this concept is that the focus goes to the tracks being timeless, and music that you can listen to in every time of day and night. music that offers a vast variety, but in the end coming together in that sweet and warm morning glory. bidon by university of nowhere was definitely our first pick for the first track on this release. nice warm pads and steady broken beats are becoming a trademark for their production. astral control by maurice giovannini perfectly sits beside our opening track with its laid back mood and again nice moody pads. insen gathway by widovski, an opening track on our b side, with nice minimalistic grooves, warm pads and freaky background ticks, surely deserves a spot on this release. defenders of prisma by gabriele carasco and enzo pietropaolo is the final track on this vinyl release. a really special track, which has a very mysterious and sentimental vibe and nicely rounds up our sixth release.

wind river ist ein neuer spielfilm von taylor sheridan mit elizabeth olsen und jeremy renner in den hauptrollen. taylor sheridan hat zuvor das drehbuch zu dem film scicario von denis villeneuve verfasst. von ihm stammt auch der film hell or high water, bei dem er schon einmal mit nick cave & warren ellis zusammengearbeitet hat. nick cave und warren ellis interpretieren die natur-elemente (das rauschen des windes, die stille einer schneelandschaft) des filmes nach ihrem eigenen bekunden auf eine ganz eigene weise. für diese elementaren erfahrungen haben wir einen geisterhaften soundtrack produziert bei dem stimmen wispern, chöre aus dem nichts auftauchen und wieder verschwinden und der zumeist elektronisch produzierte sound zu pulsieren scheint, so warren ellis.

recently, superpitcher was invited to go on a safari in south africa. he bought a custom made safari hat at his favorite milliner in cologne (jü,,,rgen eifler) and set off with big eyes and a pair of binoculars. it was wild and wonderful and he saw many exotic (and big!) animals, even a leopard in a tree that told him the secret of the universe. he forgot what the leopard said because his mind was still playing and replaying the sound of what he heard on the first night of his arrival – the hypnotic and moving sound of the voices of africa, the voices of the wonderful tanda tula staff choir. there, the choir members work during the day at the camp and at night entertain the guests with their captivating voices and energetic dancing. so impressed was he with their songs and beautiful shangaan language that he decided to record a cd for them to sell in the shop at their camp and now this precious recording is also available through hippie dance / bush recordings on vinyl and cd for you in whatever wherever camp you are. the lp of the tanda tula choir comes with a very pretty poster.

some records are timeless and never age - -happiness is just around the bend- by the main ingredient is one of those records. originally released in 1974, -happiness- was a record before it s time - had it been released a year later it would undoubtedly have been one of the first 12- discs - so as a result, most discerning djs at the time chose to play the album cut. the song is actually a cover of uk prog-jazz band brian auger s oblivion express s version from the year before but main ingredient took the song to a whole new level and, 44 years later, it has become one of the most revered dance tunes of all-time. main ingredient were unlucky with 12- releases, which is why we re delighted to give -evening of love- it s first-ever 12- release! once again this was a 1981 album track which years later it would become a modern soul anthem and rightfully be regarded as one of their best records. fully remastered on limited edition 180 gram heavyweight vinyl.
